Hi Guys

Are you struggling with your move to Europe? Overwhelmed and overloaded with information from Facebook and Google? Not sure, which step to take first?

I did, too. I was so stressed in the months running up to our big move, that I crashed three cars! Yes, three cars. Eventually family members (unsurprisingly) stopped wanting to loan me their cars. On the last one I tried to hide it and I begged our panel beater not to tell my husband and to send me the invoice privately.

He said “Vanessa, you really shouldn’t be on the road – you need to get a bicycle!’ It was so true. I was so anxious and stressed about the move, that I couldn’t see straight, let alone drive a car.

All these thoughts were running through my head. Was I making the right decision moving? Would my kids be happy? Would I? Where would we be living, can I find a house in time? And a house close to school? And what school do I choose. Do I go the local route and get the kids to learn a whole new language? Or do we go the International route which is expensive but in English?

So many decisions to make, so many steps to take.

Just like you, I wanted to move to Europe and make the transition as smooth as possible for my kids and myself! But, honestly, it was a struggle until I finally discovered (after my own move) and helping hundreds of expats like yourself the most important things to focus on and resolve before you get on that plane!

In my course “Moving to Europe 101 – First time expats guide” I will hold your hand through all of the questions around housing, schooling, packing up your old life and settling into your new one.
